Louis Botella was born in Brussels and then grew up in Luxembourg City. A glance at his biography reveals a picture of THE luxembourgish ambassador of twisted disco, funky and jackin' House music.
Since his young age, he got keen on mixing music. He had his first DJ' ing experience as a teenager when he began to play with 2 turntables for blockparties. From these first performances, he was hooked on the whole vibe.
Soon afterwards, he had the opportunity to develop his spinning skills in a real club surrounding.
He started his first residency at 16 in the finest Club of Luxembourg, blending a mixture of early house tunes, pop music, and disco.
He then became one of the major players of the club scene in the country. Consequently, he began to produce his own tracks collecting his first studio material. Step by step, he evolved to strong clubby sound full of hypnotic syncopations, catchy loops and pumping beats delivering his DJ sets in Belgium, Germany, France and Spain.
Since 98, he mainly devoted his time to production, trying to translate his whole musical spectrum to a larger audience.
He launched his first 12 inch in 98 on the spanish imprint Vendetta followed in 99 by "U R all I need" on Fresh Fruit in Holland.
Louis' productions grew and in 2000 his creativity exploded with several releases on cutting edge respected labels such as Riviera and Premium in France (Fab G and Sebastien Leger), Forced in Belgium and the famous nuyorican label of Erick Morillo : Subliminal.
2001 and 2002 sees Louis at a turning point of his career. Highlights of Louis Botella's career to date are when he became the first Benelux producer to release on worldwide acclaimed imprints such as the Classic Music Company (home of Luke Solomon and Derrick Carter), Penso Positivo (Claude Monnet & Martin Solveig), Moody Records in Chicago (Badboy Bill), Ovum Records (Josh Wink's label), Poker Flat Records from Berlin (Steve Bug) and Camouflage in Canada.
In 2005, Louis will start his own label: Yaaaa Records.
The first release was licensed on Cyber Records in France and was remixed by Olav Basoski.
In 2006 and 2007, he did 3 different remixes for David Vendetta. One of them is a remix of "Love to you baby", wich was a big hit in France.
In october 2007, Louis joined one of the most prestigious Dj Radio in the world: Radio FG in Paris. His show is broadcasted 3 times per week on Underground FG.
The future holds many surprises but Louis Botella is definitely part of the leading producers of the Benelux house scene. Louis is actually working on new productions coming soon on his label: Yaaaa records.
